The Powhatan Snack Shack has been a dream of my family’s for a very long time. The journey to get to this exciting point has definitely been an adventure.
My story begins with a family tradition and one of my favorite childhood memories. My parents, Richard and LeeAnn, would take my sister and I to one of their favorite hangout spots from when they were young and first in love, a small custard stand in Southern New Jersey, Hudock’s. Just sitting outside with family, on picnic tables enjoying a nice cold tasty treat. It wasn’t just a great spot for our family but for the whole community. The business is still thriving, in fact, my husband and I have taken our children many times.
My hope is to provide the community with a great spot for a quick yummy treat. A place to start a new tradition right here in Powhatan. And to give back to a community that has so graciously embraced our family.
Today I am the proud wife to Brett, mother of five beautiful children, Autumn, Cadence, Hayleigh, Richie, and Robbie. I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Services, over 14 years of experience in the foodservice industry, and am proud to have earned the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. My family and I have proudly resided in Powhatan for over 7 years.
Within the Powhatan community, my family and I have attended Emmaus Christian Church. Our children attend Pocahontas Elementary, Powhatan Elementary, Powhatan Middle School and Powhatan High School. I’ve been a volunteer coach for PYAA Softball, Fury Soccer, and have been a 4H Cloverbud leader. Currently, I hold a position as the Recreation Director for Fury Soccer Board. I enjoy volunteering within the community of Powhatan, it has truly been a very rewarding experience.

20 bucks doesn't stretch as far as it used to. But it still does at Powhatan Snack Shack. As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to find a treat the kids will love AND feed the whole family, without breaking the bank.
Family Time
We're a walk-up snack shack. That means there's plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a slice of classic Americana. Grab a picnic table, or just let the kids run off the calories in the nearby field. Family time is back.
Conveniently located off Rt. 60 across from Powhatan Elementary School. Our truck is right behind the Red Barn Car Wash. We have picnic tables for seating and plenty of room to spread out while enjoying your snacks.
